Mission Trips

A useful mission trip begins with the missionary who will host you. Let local needs and the host’s capacity shape the visit.

Agree on the purpose first

Ask what would be useful to the ongoing ministry, who the trip is for, and what the host can realistically support. Set expectations for the team before choosing projects or making promises.

Prepare the practical details together

  • Agree on dates, team size, responsibilities, and a realistic budget.
  • Discuss language needs, accommodation, transport, and daily expectations.
  • Check current travel requirements through the relevant official sources.
  • Ask how photos, stories, and contact with local families should be handled.

Plan for what happens afterward

Decide how the team will follow up, share what it learned, and support the ministry after returning home. The visit should fit the work that continues after the team leaves.
