Railson & Heidi Gil
developing Brazilian community, building the body of Christ
Christian missionaries in ParĂ¡, northern Brazil.
Railson, native to ParĂ¡, is called to developing projects which exemplify the Kingdom in practical ways, specifically through communications development and digital integration (that is, making computer technology available to disadvantaged classes). Heidi is a pediatric nutritionist and English teacher from Oregon, USA. She enjoys putting the Gospel into practice as she counsels nutritionally needy families. Our gifts bring us into contact with people of all levels, which often leads to house visits and impromptu gatherings around the Bible. We love it when God surprises our unsuspecting visitors with the tangible sense of His presence! Here you will find our current and past newsletters as well as photos of our family and region. Have fun exploring our site!

Merry Christmas 2009
Filed under FamilyDec 19As Christmas approaches, we are reminded of how extremely blessed we are to be children of that Wonderful King, who came into this world as we did and opened the path for us to live like He does.
Our wish is that heaven come down and surround you this holiday season.
A friend of Railson’s gave him boat tickets to Porto de Moz for Christmas, so we will be packing quickly and leaving tomorrow (Sunday) for a week.
It is hard to have family spread out so far over the globe. Believe me, I never get used to it. And Christmas is just one of those times when you wish all the more intensely that you could be near family. But we are well and trusting God for the next step. This year has been hard, but it has forced us to really believe and not just talk about believing. We got a prophecy in Albany (Oregon) last year that we were like the conductors of a big train, but the track was just being laid as the train was chugging along. We were headed into uncharted territory. Well, that has been the story of the past year, and it hasn’t been comfortable on the nerves, but in the end we are grateful–especially for the stability of certain things like the love of family, that, even at a great distance, is a fantastic encouragement along the journey.
Thank you for your care, prayers and giving.
Have a joyful Christmas!
The Gil Family
