Railson & Heidi Gil
developing Brazilian community, building the body of Christ
Christian missionaries in ParĂ¡, northern Brazil.
Railson, native to ParĂ¡, is called to developing projects which exemplify the Kingdom in practical ways, specifically through communications development and digital integration (that is, making computer technology available to disadvantaged classes). Heidi is a pediatric nutritionist and English teacher from Oregon, USA. She enjoys putting the Gospel into practice as she counsels nutritionally needy families. Our gifts bring us into contact with people of all levels, which often leads to house visits and impromptu gatherings around the Bible. We love it when God surprises our unsuspecting visitors with the tangible sense of His presence! Here you will find our current and past newsletters as well as photos of our family and region. Have fun exploring our site!

Well, here we are in our new home. (Sorry, no photos yet.) It is a blessing to be living in Monte Dourado after a year and a half of having to live between two separate cities. We are pleased with our neighborhood, especially as it relates to a good environment for the kids. Railson is enthusiastic with his work at Amaster. The team is developing as we are gradually learning how to manage the business. Our associate and workers are excellent, although not yet born again, so uphold them in prayer with us.
For the time being we are settling into our rental home and meeting for prayer, worship & devotionals every Sunday & Wednesday. This is for family & visitors/neighbors. We will hold off doing evangelism or inviting for a month or two while we rest in the Lord. What we can see already is that our work with Amaster in an effective “in” to working with people here. We are praying for the Lord’s direction regarding the establishment of a radio station. The Lord has been reviving an old desire of ours to go on the air with educaitonal and Christian broadcasting. Now, since we have the transmission tower (which we are now using for internet) and the space for a studio (one of our office rooms is unused), this desire is closer to a reality. A friend of Railson’s who works in the legal sphere will be in town for 4 months and is eager to help with such a project. So, we will see what kinds of doors & finances the Lord opens.
We *really* need to sell our house in Porto de Moz. If we sell it soon, we can buy the house we are now renting in Monte Dourado for a great price. Please pray in line with this.
